Radiography (CV) or successful completion of a Paramedic training
program within 12 months of hire date Certifications: AHA BLS
required Must-Have: Associate---s degree or higher Job Description:
- Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a
mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position aims to achieve the
initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular
and/or radiologic technology services for adult and/or pediatric
patients. - Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and
cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under
routine or emergent conditions in various care settings. - Prepare
patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with
procedures ordered by physicians. - Communicate and collaborate
with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members to
identify and implement actions necessary to achieve clinical
outcomes and operational goals. - Utilize specialized
cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to
perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in
accordance with established guidelines. - Conduct post-procedure
review with or without preceptor to ensure all required elements
are completed, documented, and consistent with department
protocols. - Transfer images and data to appropriate archival
systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare study for
physician reporting. - Perform operator-level quality control
checks, cleaning, and maintenance per manufacturer instructions and
regulatory guidelines. - Participate in continuing education,
professional development, and research activities to maintain
competencies and promote continuous improvements in care and
treatments. - Perform other duties as assigned. Skills: - Skill in
applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology.
- Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and
report to work consistently and dependably. - Sensitivity to
patients' physical and psychological needs. - Ability to maintain
accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and
codes. - Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate
recommendations. - Discretion in handling confidential information
and exercising sound judgment. - Ability to multitask and remain
calm in stressful situations. - Ability to understand various
operations, policies, and procedures. - Professional and
compassionate interaction with staff, patients, and their families.
- High level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards
efficient assignment completion. - Ability to work with minimum
supervision and demonstrate attention to detail. - Core knowledge
of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular
and/or radiologic technologies and terminology. - Ability and skill
in applying theory, practices, and techniques to perform,
post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure
documentation with general supervision.
