expanding into Tulsa, OK. Agile Space Industries, Inc. (AGILE)
designs, builds, and tests in-space propulsion systems for
satellites and spacecraft. AGILE uses state of the art 3D metal
alloy printing techniques to rapidly design, manufacture, and test
new engine designs in our purpose-built propulsion test facility.
With over a decade of experience testing rocket engines, and
engineers who have worked at industry leaders like Blue Origin,
SpaceX, NASA, and Rocketdyne, AGILE is a rapidly growing company
with many exciting Defense, Civil and Commercial programs.Job
Title: General Manager - Tulsa Space Testing CenterLocation: Tulsa,

is rapidly growing its Testing and Manufacturing capabilities as we
continue to support advanced space programs with creative
solutions. Our objective is to provide enhanced capacity for the
industry to be able to test hypergolic engines in a modern facility
consistent with Agile's other testing facilities. Agile has a
proven track record of delivering highly valuable testing data from
high-vacuum testing facilities to enable challenging space
missions.As part of our expansion strategy, we are establishing a
new testing facility in Oklahoma and are seeking a dynamic and
experienced General Manager to lead this initiative through the
development, operations and future growth stages to expand our
footprint for operations in the Tulsa area. This role will be
critical in overseeing the development of the site, driving
business growth, building local relationships, and ensuring the
operational success of the new facility.Position Overview: The
General Manager for the expansion branch will be responsible for
overseeing the successful development, launch, and operation of our
new testing facility in Tulsa. This includes driving business
development and sales, managing day-to-day operations, ensuring
compliance with state and federal regulations, and building strong
local partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a combination
of operational expertise, relationship-building skills, and the
ability to navigate regulatory landscapes in Oklahoma. This
position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.Key
Responsibilities:
- Facility Development & Operations:
- Lead planning, development, and construction oversight of the
new testing facility.
- Ensure timely completion of all stages of facility setup,
including procurement, equipment installation, and staffing.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the facility runs
efficiently and meets operational goals.
- Implement best practices for facility safety, maintenance, and
regulatory compliance.
- Business Development & Sales:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive external testing sales
and business development for the US and global hypergolic
market.
- Identify new business opportunities for enhancing customer
value and expand the customer base for services provided.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including
prospective clients, contractors, and business partners.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the company's
services and drive awareness in the local market.
- Relationship Building & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with local
government officials, business leaders, and community
organizations.
- Represent the company at local industry events, conferences,
and networking opportunities.
- Work with local chambers of commerce and other organizations to
increase the company's presence in the community.
- Government & Regulatory Management:
- Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all federal,
state, and local regulations, including environmental, health, and
safety laws.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government and
regulatory bodies in Oklahoma to stay informed on legislative
changes and ensure compliance.
- Oversee all regulatory reporting, inspections, and audits
required by local authorities.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing team to support facility
operations and business growth.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven culture
within the branch.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to
staff members.
- Manage the hiring process, including recruitment, onboarding,
and training of new employees.
- Financial Management & Reporting:
- Manage the branch's budget, ensuring financial targets are
met.
- Oversee resource allocation, cost control, and budget adherence
for all operational activities.
- Report on performance metrics, including financial results,
project milestones, and operational efficiency.Qualifications:
- Expect 15+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, COO
of a smaller company or similar leadership role in an expansion
setting with relevant industry experience (Energy, Aerospace,
Industrial Plant, Chemical Manufacturing)
- Strong understanding of facility operations, including
equipment management, safety protocols, and regulatory
compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of government regulations and industry
standards in Oklahoma.
- Experience in business development, sales, and building client
relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with
government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal
skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
to meet deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and
operational costs.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a
related field; advanced degree(s) preferred.Location: Tulsa,
